Sarah Foster is the Development and Communications Associate at Tzedek DC. She provides philanthropic and communications support to help advance the organization’s mission of safeguarding the legal rights and financial health of DC residents. Sarah began her fundraising career working in student development and alumni relations at York College of Pennsylvania and expanded her reach to the DC area through a year-long internship at the Center on Budget and Policy Priorities, where she liaised between strategic projects and fundraising for 42 state policy organizations, including one here in the District of Columbia.

Sarah holds a Master of Public Policy and Administration (MPPA) from York College of Pennsylvania, where she also earned bachelor’s degrees in Sociology and Political Science and took concentrations in Criminal Justice and Legal Studies. Sarah’s work in college solidified her passion for racial, economic, and social justice and inspired her interest in helping people tackle the legal problems that arise from debt.
